Frequently Asked Questions

Does my monthly price ever go up?

Our pricing isn’t a flashy promotional rate - it’s fair and transparent from the start. Over time, there may be minor adjustments to ensure you continue receiving top-notch service. But don’t worry - we’re talking about just a dollar or two per year at most. No surprises, just straightforward savings. Plus, you can purchase the equipment at any time, giving you ultimate savings and flexibility.

What happens if I move?

Moving? No problem. Our Go Flex plan is fully transferable to the next homeowner, allowing them to seamlessly pick up where you left off. Just let us know 30 days before your move, and we’ll handle the rest. We’re here to make your move hassle-free, just the way it should be.

What is the warranty with my purchase?

With the Go Flex Program, you’re 100% covered—24/7/365—for both parts and labour, including annual maintenance. If you choose to purchase the equipment, you’ll receive the standard manufacturer’s warranty. Start with the Go Flex Program to enjoy all the benefits we offer, and when you’re ready, you can purchase the equipment at your convenience.

How long have you been in business?

Go Lime has been keeping homes comfortable since 2011. With over 150,000 customers across Ontario, we’ve spent more than a decade earning the trust of homeowners just like you. Partnering with trusted names like Enbridge, Home Depot, and Walmart, you can count on the Go Lime team to take care of your family.

Is Go Flex a rental, and what is the term?

Go Flex isn’t a never-ending rental contract. It’s a game-changer: an industry-first flexible 180-month subscription with an anytime purchase option. Here’s how it works: 50% of your monthly payment reduces your purchase price, while the other 50% covers 24/7 service, annual maintenance, and unlimited parts and labour coverage. You get all the perks of ownership without the headaches—and the flexibility to purchase the equipment at any time.

What type of furnace is best for my home?

The most common furnace types are gas, electric, and oil. In Ontario, high-efficiency natural gas furnaces are the most popular due to lower operating costs and reliable performance in cold weather. The right option depends on your home’s size, insulation, and energy source availability.

What does AFUE mean and why does it matter?

AFUE stands for Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency. It measures how efficiently a furnace converts fuel into heat. A 95% AFUE furnace, for example, turns 95% of fuel into heat and wastes only 5%. Higher AFUE means lower heating bills and less energy waste.

How long do furnaces typically last?

Most furnaces last between 15 and 20 years. Regular maintenance, like annual servicing and filter changes, can help maximize lifespan and prevent unexpected breakdowns. Not sure how often to change your filter? Check out our blog on How Often Should You Change Your Furnace Filter? for expert guidance.

How do I know what furnace size I need?

Furnace size is measured in BTUs (British Thermal Units). The correct size depends on the square footage of your home, ceiling height, insulation, and climate zone. Oversized or undersized units can lead to poor efficiency and uneven heating. For a full breakdown, see our guide on How to Choose the Right Furnace Size Based on BTUs and AFUE. We also offer expert sizing assessments to help you select the right model for your space.

What’s the difference between a single-stage and a two-stage furnace?

Single-stage furnaces run at full power whenever they're on. Two-stage furnaces, on the other hand, operate at a lower speed most of the time—only ramping up during extreme cold. This results in better comfort, quieter performance, and improved efficiency.
